Description :
The acute stiffness of an articulation or an articular segment, in other words arthritis, results in ankylosis , pains and articular swelling , rednesses and heating. These symptoms are due to a pathological degeneration of the cartilage, consecutive with a synovial inflammation inside the articulation. The causes of an articular inflammation are multiple: a bacterial infection, a thermal or mechanical irritation. That can also be in reaction to an inflammatory hearth sitting in another part of the body, on the level of the teeth or amygdalae, for example.
It is necessary to relieve the articulation. Fix the articulation in a slackened position, using cushions. Stay in bed, and when the stiffness is relieved, exercise to avoid a loss of mobility of the articulation .
In homeopathy:
Bryonia alba relieves pains worsened by the movement or while coughing
Berberis decreases the pains irradiated with the belly
Rhus tox limit the pains improved by the movement
Nux Vomica fights against cramps
Posology/ indications : : Chew or let dissolve in mouth two pillules every two hours, by swallowing without touching them. After six pillules, take two pillules three times per day until disappearance of the symptoms.
Warnings : :Less than 12 years. Pregnant women or who nurse.
