Description :
Prilosec OTC is employed to treat the frequent heartburn. Heartburn occurs when the contents of the stomach are turned over in the esophagus (the tube which connects the throat to the stomach). The heartburn is considered frequent when it persists for 2 days or more per week.
Prilosec OTC ceases the gastric production of acid in the stomach.
Prilosec OTC contains the same active substance as a prescription drug, Omeprazole, which stops the acid production effectively.
Prilosec OTC treats the symptoms of heartburn, burning in the esophagus (esophagitis) and ulcers.
Posology/ indications : : This product must be taken once per day (every 24 hours), each day during 14 days. It can take 1 to 4 days for complete effect, although some can obtain complete relief of the symptoms within 24 hours. Swallow 1 tablet with a glass of water before eating in the morning. Take one tablet each day for 14 days. After the 14 days, allow one day to pass without taking anything, and repeat another cycle of 14 days, as many times as needed for 4 months.
