Description :
Pycnogenol by Natrol is a bark extract of marine pine with standardized contentsof proanthocyanidines, or oligo-proanthocyanidines (OPC), a type of flavonoidic compounds. The medicinal properties of the bark extract of Pine are mainly associated to the OPC.
It relieves symptoms associated with venous insufficiency: blood accumulates in the legs
which become heavy, swollen, painful, and in the long term causes the formation of spider veins and, later on phlebitis.
Pycnogenol has several virtues:
-Protects the cardiovascular and pulmonary system.
-It improves the microcirculation in the capillary vessels, and decreases
the systolic pressure and thromboxane rates.
-It decreases ophthalmologic disorders, like retinopathy, slows down the process of
vision degradation, and improves vascularization of the retina.
-Treats asthma, lupus, the gingivitis and parodontitis, while decreasing bleeding gums up to 50%
and by reducing the formation of dental plaque
